Just finished a white turquoise cross necklace on leather. The cross is white turquoise and pearls are cultured white freshwater. The knotted leather gives the piece a rustic and rough look, although the piece can be worn with almost anything. The cross is finished with a sterling silver cross button clasp. My one piece completed today. A huge accomplishment considering my toddler will not take his nap and I feel I have gotten virtually nothing done today. One of these days...I'll be very productive.

I'm excited my treasury was included in a "wedding blog" recently. As most of you know that create them, they take an incredible amount of time to design, and once designed, you have to keep up with them and replace sold items, etc. It's lots of work, so much, that I don't always get around to replacing the items. Oh...to have more time in the day to do everything I need to get done. Anyway here's my treasury

Okay, so the rain and the recent invasion of fruit flies in my house is not helping my motivation to make jewelry. These flies are EVERYWHERE. Yikes, I have never been so annoyed. Purchased something at Lowe's that was supposed to get rid of them...but it's not working. As I sit here I am looking at three swimming in my Pinot Grigio. Those darn little bugs. Anyway, hoping to get some new work up soon. Trying to work with a couple stores too to get some new looks to them. Any ideas on how I can get rid of these annoying flies...please let me know. Have a great evening.

Finally asked a fellow member of Etsy about my soldering problem. What a wonderful person and loads of information she gave me. I attempted what she told me, and to my surprise it worked. Looking forward to getting back to making rings tomorrow. I have about 10 cut out...so I'm very excited. Thanks Melissa for all your thoughts...they were so very helpful.

Okay, after a long, long absence from my blog site, I have decided to make time for it again. Lots of complicated things happening in my studio. My pickeling solution is not working right, which is making me crazy. I have changed it several times and can't seem to get it right. I can solder some things, but others will not solder. VERY FRUSTRATING!!!!! Anyway, I have decided to concentrate on earrings, bracelets and rings, once I get the solution to work. Necklaces just don't seem to be selling like they used to. Too much work, time and materials involved to keep messing with it. I'll do a few, but not like I used to. Okay, enough of that. Looking forward to getting my next 10 rings completed and on Etsy. Loving Etsy and the community of people I'm meeting on there. Lots of new things in my shop. Check it out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/MissieRabdau. Have a great day.

Surprise for Emily
Created and mailed a pair of earrings (pink quartz wire wrapped), along with another surprise to Emily in Missouri. I'm very excited to hear what she thinks. The earrings are for her to lift her spirits while she undergoes chemo for breast cancer. With her attitude and determination, I'm convinced she will kick this disease. I am thrilled to have met her on-line. Her attitude is amazing and I admire her for it. If the earrings make her smile, it will make me so happy.

Wire Wrapped Earrings and Others....SOLD
I'm so excited to have sold they newly posted aqua wire wrapped earrings yesterday. I also had two more people that wanted them...so that made me very happy. Then to add to the excitement, I made another sale of two more different earrings. It simply made my night. After being discouraged for weeks over whether pursuing a creative outlet is worth it, I am feeling a little better. Yeah.....now off to shoot some photos.

Where is the Sun?????
Where is the sun? I need it to create. I did create one new piece today, after my Ruby Tibetan bead earrings sold. Yeah...they are off to Glen Allen, Virginia to a new home.

The Old Rugged Cross
Here is a piece that is rugged, yet classy too. The cross is white turquoise with the beautiful veins showing through well. The cross is held between two unique bali balls with chocolate freshwater pearls and turquoise chunks accenting the entire piece. This piece can be worn with almost anything, but of course, I prefer a pair of worn, torn and very comfortable jeans. The necklace measures 18.5", including clasp.

Romantic, Elegant Smokey Quartz piece now on Etsy
Just added a very romantic, elegant smokey quartz and freshwater pearl necklace and earring set. The pendant on the necklace is hand-made in Tibet and is very unique. The pendant is held by chunky white freshwater pearls and faceted smokey quartz rondelles. Top drilled freshwater pearls are added in the middle of the necklace to give the necklace an elegant, beautiful look. This necklace will surely become a family heirloom. The necklace measures 18 1/2", including clasp. Visit my Etsy site at http://www.etsy.com/shop/MissieRabdau to view.

Gem and Jewelry Show
Attended the Gem and Jewelry show today. Came home with so many amazing stones and findings. Can't wait to get started tomorrow. I hope my little man will be content on his John Deer tractor while I work. Hopefully, this week I'll have some new work up on Etsy.

Hi to all my blog friends out there. Finally, I feel I'm getting technically literate. Not easy though. Thanks to all my friends who have inspired, encouraged and helped me get there.
